I hope in quarter scale Lanc from HK, but still nothing :(  :(  😕

After the B-17 in 1:48 I doubt it will take much longer than 2022 till they will do a 1:48 Lanc

I look forward to the 48th Lancaster from HK, I hope they make a few corrections as they downsize the 32nd like what they did with the B17 . . . . .

Too fed some rumors I still suspect Tamiya to retool their Lancaster (Tamiya 61105) as it is not listed at all at the moment in their catalog..

And maybe the rescribe it as Italeri did with their Do24 in 1/72

The last edition (2009) already did have some extra’s added like a new turret and blisters...

Now I wil stop with this subject as this is still a 1/32 HK thread 🧵🤫

cheers, Jan

Anyone who wants to get the interior of the HKM 1/32 Lancaster right, at BDAC we are building a 1/1 scale version, work in progress.... do come and visit.

I've been posting pictures regularly in another thread.

A view forward.

I think that will prove a popular option for the kit particularly the bulge bomb doors, and spur on the market for decals of those squadrons that carried the bomb, 9 & 617 Squadrons I believe.

The bulge bomb doors should be popular with the Canadians with their 8000Ib 'er . . . .

What if............. Tamiya were to take over the WnW’s molds? Would be right up their alley. What if .....

More to the point . . .  What if Hong Kong models purchased the WNW Lancaster molds ???????

Having paid for their own tooling, why would they pay for someone else's directly competing tooling? It would be the worst business sense ever, except if they could get it cheap to destroy it and prevent it ever competing against them, and I doubt anyone here would want that.

All credit to IconicAir as they seem to be leading the field with items  for the 32nd scale Lancaster . . .👏

Would be nice if the MK II Hercules engines were produced by somebody for the HK Lancaster for those with MK II links

Hello!

I wanted to share some renders and test shots of the 1/32 Avro Lancaster pilot's seat. Overall, I am very happy with how this is turning out. I still need to double-check measurements and work out some tweaks with the build supports, but hope to get those taken care of very soon.

On that note. if any of my followers has the HK kit seat, please PM me. I would like to confirm the measurements to ensure that everything with the design is in sync

Assuming the last little bits are ironed out quickly, we're on schedule for release this week. I expect the price to be somewhere around $19.99 USD per set and available in the R2D shop and on Ebay.

Anyway, I hope you like!

Brian

Hi Homebee, just about to start my HK 1/32 Lanc nose art kit. AM IP on the way, was looking at this seat, steep price on Ebay and perhaps needs a lot of work to make it look like that?

I'm not being dismissive or anything, it looks fantastic in finished state, but comes as a 3d print type thing if its same seat I'm thinking on and delivered price is £25+

Was looking for a quick build for this, quick confidence build, but I think the seat alone would be more work than entire kit? Looks amazing, but out my league I'm sorry to say.

Yikes, just bought a 1/32 HK Dambuster Lancaster on Ebay for £343.90 delivered, been debating with myself for two hours the pro's and cons of the idea ... but I'm impulsive and once the root of a thought gets into my head ... it becomes inevitable!

Here is me priding myself on selling off most of my 1/32 stash to concentrate on 1/48, have the 1/32 HK Nose art kit already that I thought was a rare treat into this scale and am due to start that tomorrow now bench is clear and I know HK will have a 1/48 Lanc out soon and will have one of those too ... but I've had nothing on my thoughts but Lancaster's for days now.

Been trying to justify this outlandish purchase with several reasons, live near RAF Lossiemouth, once home of 617, I Iove Lancasters, seen the BoBM Lanc a few times at air shows in the past ... had promised myself a WnW 1/32 Lanc when they came out, but we all know that's extremely unlikely now, we only live once and sometimes you need to go where your heart tells you instead of what the brain says ... so yeah, chuffed to bits ... I'm a happy bunny again :)

Off to watch The Dambuster's now with a warm fuzzy feeling :)

Never think you have to justify to yourself buying something like that, that's what I tell myself

Justifying buying it to the other half is another matter, which normally ends up just as expensive I find 🤣

Ok so load the better half into the family car and down to the best purse or shoe shop. Tell her shes won an 350£ shopping spree. You can live with the fact you've got a killer model and this is your penance.
