Cees Broere
To build NX611 you would to do a bit more to get a nice result (any Martin SC250 turrets in 1/32 scale?). As I had been part of the team to man the HK Models stand at Telford the general opinion was very positive about both Lancs. Even had a pleasant conversation with a former Lancaster driver who had some very nice memories to relate. It's just a matter of opinion which one to buy and we modellers never had it so good. Money and space an issue? Of course but you can cross that bridge when you get to it. I want both. According tot Neil Yan the HK Models Lancaster will be available around the 10th of December. Now, where to get a big enough Christmastree to put it under....... Cheers Cees

Cheers Cees Already extensively researched (even down to the little slots in the bomb bay doors) Still need to do the RFI on this one. For NX611, you can get away with an FN50 cupola... Just need to move it a few (real, not scale) inches forward that’s all, which is easier said than done in 1/32. The biggest problem by far by though is finding something to make the taller, Lincoln style astrodome Edited November 13, 2018 by WV908 Typo

spruecutter96
A little birdie told me at the Milton Keynes show that the WNW Lanc will be a mind-blowing 650 quid, when released. If this turns out to be true (bearing in mind that it's not out for several more months, at least), I'm sorry but that's pushing prices in to "wash-the-fork" territory, from where I'm sitting. I'm sure it will be an astounding, incredibly-detailed kit... but 650 smackeroos? If people want to push their hard-earned Wingnut Wings way, then I fully support them. It's their money and they should use it as they see fit. Chris.

This may well be the case but I heard the WNW guys at Telford last year say it would be over £300 but hopefully not too much over !? Just have to wait and see I guess. Homebee
By ICONICAIR Source: https://www.facebook.com/officialiconicair/posts/3753310191410918 Quote We've remoulded the Dambuster bomb aimers window for a customer who is using our conversion kit for the HKM Lancaster 1:32 scale. They're tricky to clear cast but we are getting much more consistent results. They have the exact same level of detail as the kit part but without the holes, the original master part was CNC machined from solid perspex. We are going to do a short run of these next week, the cost will be £20 each plus postage, If you're interested please let me know, remember we won't keep doing them forever. WV908
I find it annoying that they keep churning out the same markings for this. It couldn't have been that difficult to add something like 'Old Fred' - which is an actual surviving nose section Cheers, WV908

IvanVasili
Is the starboard side of the kit transparent for better visibility or is it just for rendering purposes?
SAT69
My first reaction was to ask who'd want a kit of the nose section of a Lancaster in 1/32 scale but then I had to step back and realize we've seen large scale kits of F-16 and F-104 cockpits (not the nose section and cockpit, just the cockpit) and apparently they were quite popular. I suspect Lancaster enthusiasts will love it, giving them a large scale Lancaster "something" without the worry over how to display it. Is this perhaps a new wave in plastic modeling?
Max Headroom
Don’t forget a nose of a 1/32 scale Lanc will be a lot cheaper (and easier) to store! Trevor
