Started this soon after my last operation, but lost interest whilst healing. Things just went together really well and I'm very pleased with the results.

Very nice diorama Dave - brave man...snow! Phew!

The map actually came printed on the instruction sheet. MiniArt think of everything these days :D I just cut it out, sprayed it with Humbrol matt varnish and scrunched it up a bit.

nice - how did the base go together? tempted by adding a couple of bases to my stash for posing tanks for photos.. not sure which way to go - generic is going to be best i think

I do like Miniart kits - they're very thoughtful :) Now... get a coat of matt on those soldiers, or I'll send Andy/Dave/Brian down to poke your knees!

I think snow is one of the hardest things to model.

You've done a great job on making it looking good, I'm getting shivers looking at it!

The wet soggy mud is very realistic.

Very nice little diorama, figures look good and the worn snow camouflage on the tank is nicely done too! :goodjob:

 I've already had a go at him on the phone, so he's probably rattling a can of Humbrol matt clear as we speak :wicked:

For those that gave nice comments thanks, to the other two :bleh: As it is I have now given the troops a spray of matt varnish and will take some better pictures later.

Rob, the MiniArt kits go together really well if a bit of time is taken cutting the bits out from the backing sheet. I've got a few more in the stash for which I have plans forming already.

Nice build and a good job on the snow and mud ....

But I would try running a bit of dark wash on the figures, it should bring out the features and creases and folds on the clothing as well.....now they are matt !!

Regards Trevor.....:D

Cheers Trevor, every bit of advice is welcome. Will give it a go later this evening.
