To J. Jahoda:
dřív mne to také zaráželo. Teď už ne. Protože jak se zdá, tak onen externista dělal vše pro to, aby se tak dělo. Nejsem lékař, takže to nemohu kvalifikovaně posoudit, ale nějaká duševní porucha či odchylka od normy by to určitě vysvětlila. Ještě nás dle všeho čeká tento sport u Piperů J-3/L-4, do kterých nás také navezl. Koupili jsme formy, které vyfrézoval. Naši nástrojaři se je snaží dát dohromady (už jsem dlouho neslyšel tolik sprostých slov). Určitě z nich bude nakonec hezký model, jsou šikovní. Ale dá to zatraceně moc práce. Jen se obávám, že nyní onen externista nabízí Pipery jinde. A myslím, že všichni vědí kde.........

Až na to .že MPM má předlohu na Komára zpracovanou už rok.. No mě spíš zaráží jak je možné,že se oba výrobci neustále potkávají s předlohama.

It could mean both (MPM Productions (CMKkits) = Special Hobby and AZ Model = KP) kits of the Piper Cub would be in same scale 1/48.

The original MPM project is now reactivated for the Summer 2022 by Special Hobby.

Čtvrtkový L-4 Grasshopper je ve stadiu intenzivních příprav. První forma je již zcela hotova, vyleštěna a odladěna. Čiré díly jsou koncipovány tak, že si modelář bude moci vybrat, zda použije pravé boční zasklení kompletní - díl č. 4 (zavřená nahoru odklopná část dvířek) nebo použije bočnici rozdělenou, díly 1 a 3 a nalepí dvířka vyklopená nahoru.

 

L-4 Grasshopper in 1/48 scale is under intense preparation. The first mould is already completely finished, polished and tuned. The clear parts are designed in such a way that the modeller will be able to choose whether to use the right side glazing complete - part 4 (the hinged up part of the door) or to use the split side glazing, parts 1 and 3 and glue the door hinged up.

Lovely. I wonder if there is any chance they'd eventually do an Aeronca Champion, or even an L-3? More light aircraft in that scale would be great. 

 

The Champion has a slightly more rounded and friendly look - and a better undercarriage set up.  A pretty aircraft that never gets the attention the Cub does.

This is great news for all aviation enthusiasts. The L-4 was a ubiquitous in workhorse in almost every modern conflict 1940-1970, including WW2, the Korean War, the Algerian War, and the Arab-Israeli wars.  They served in every branch of the service plus CAT, and civil airlines. I would also like to build, in 1/48, the Norseman, L-17 Navion and L-23.
