So I wasn't the only insomniac modelling at stupid o'clock this morning! I wasn't that productive though.

Thanks for kind words folks - I'd love to take the credit for the 'pit - but I'm afraid it's more a reflection of the ace work done by the Aires peeps :)

Intakes almost done - may even get some paint on at the weekend!

Lovely job on that cockpit Iain. What did you use for the main colour, it looks spot on.

Base colour is Tamiya mixed by eye...

Initially I used a tin of Xtracolour Russian interior blue/green - but it was far too green compared to photos of MiG 23 pits.

Aaaaghhhh! I'd almost forgot about this kit and now I need one again after reading this thread.

So, Peashooter, P-47, MiG-23, Connie, Lightning... any more to confess lurking on what must be a huge workbench/shelf of doom?

It's a brilliant kit! :)

Erm, confess you say?

Difficult to say without a Lawyer present...

But I'd also have to admit to a Lynx, a Eurofighter Typhoon, the He 219 and a small icebreaker...

All good fun! :)

That's some absolutely fantastic painting on the cockpit.

Stunning already, it will be a pleasure to see this build progress.

And just to show we're still in progress on this - airframe all filled and sanded - and almost ready for primer:

This is going to look extra superb when it's finished! You, Sir, are da man! I have one of these in the stash and I'm already being inspired by your work.

Much obliged to you for sharing with us, Ian.

Watching with great interest.

Chris.

Bit more in last few days - workshop cleared out (well almost!) and feeling inspired...

Head-up display - in...

Ventral gunpack - assembled and fitted...

Re-scribe of sanded areas - done...

Wind-shield masked and fitted.

Have fun!
