Nigel Bunker
I am building a Revell 1/32 Hawk as a 19 Sqn machine from 1994 using the Xtradecal sheet. Were these machines fitted with HUDs, and if so, were they the same as the unit supplied in the 1/32 scale Kinetic 100 series Hawk? I'd like to know before i close the canopy up. Thanks in advance. (Edited for spelling - doh!) Edited February 5, 2013 by Nigel Bunker

Bobski
The Hawk T1 doesn't have a HUD, it has a gun-sight. The 100 Series Hawk has an actual HUD and it is a different unit. Edited February 5, 2013 by Bobski

Nigel Bunker
OK - two supplementary questions then. Were the gunsights fitted to both the front and rear cockpits? Can anybody point me to a picture or a dimensioned sketch of the gunsight? Thanks again.
Hawkkeeper
upper centre of instrument panel, forms part of the coaming, glass sits above the coaming with support struts to the gunsight body., the a/c I'm working on right now doesn't have sights fitted. have a look at my front cockpit panel photo, gunsight sits directly above the main compass, the fitting in the photo is for a skyforce GPS unit. 3 of our a/c have fitted gunsights, we just haven't got around to removing them, first 2 taken through the front screen, 3rd taken from cockpit looking forward, excuse our van in the way, we were packing up to come home after a engine change.
