That is very smart indeed, some lovely work there.

I also don't think it is a million miles from my perception of the colour but maybe some of our NZ based members would like to comment. My build of '56 will cunningly avoid this issue.

Looks close, but maybe a bit too much on the copper side, photos seem to show it to have a whitish tint, though that could be just the photo.

Model Master's Metalized Gold looks a close match, as mention just know I'll have to do some experimentation!!!

Haven't used Alcad paints before, might have to give it a try.

I have been trying to find out if there is a driect match for this gold, Tamiya X12 seems to be a close match.

Will try it plus the Model Master Gold plus any others I think might be close.

OK guys and gals we're 7 days out, and I have decide on what to build I'll be building an 1/48 Hasegawa A-4M, haven't decided on the markings yet but leaning towards VMA-214 the thread should be up in the group build section in the next fews days so be looking for it

I am waiting for this one to kick off. Hasegawa TA-4J in 1/48 with decals from Afterburner, Avoinix resin seats and an all over grey paint scheme. Standing by....
