I have never built a Zvezda kit before this one.

I have mixed feelings about the kit, it has some nice details, but then there are a number of issues with the fit of parts and some parts lack the finess of companies such as Tamiya, Dragon, AFV Club etc.

You can still build a nice little model from the kit, but its no shake and bake job.

I used Humbrol enamels and tried a new weathering techique.

I wanted a very worn, and battered finish on my Hanomag, as I've seen pictures of them in Africa showing some really battered finishes.

I used a small piece of torn sponge to apply the scratches and worn back paint effect.

I refined some parts of the scratching and wearing with a fine brush.

Filters, washes and pigments were used to finish the weathering.

The figures are from Dragon and are out of the box.

I raided the spares box for all the equipment and I built the base using foam board and patching plaster.

Thats a very nice Diorama there HL10 mate.

The figures I to have found to be some of the best from Dragon.

Yours have great poses and the Hanomag looks as you would expect in North Africa after some time moveing up and down the desert.

'Wheres the dog'.

Over all a great build. :coolio:
