gengriz Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 RIP Gerry Anderson, your marvelous creations were a significant inspiration to me during my youth! This one fought me somewhat - the mould has pretty much had it with poor fit and some distorted details. Still, the new decals are superb and the kit still looks like an Angel to me. Brushed Humbrol enamels, pencil detail marking and Klear to finish. I substituted a smaller pilot to address the scale issue and a cockpit panel shroud to hide the lack of interior! FredT SIG 3
sean Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Lovely Fred, brings back great memories, Captain Scarlet was always my favourite Anderson show. That's a great looking build, Sean
Roof Rat Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Scarlet, Blue, Green, White....no what a delight. RR
AndyC Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Well that will look slightly incongruous next to your usual collection of models Fred, if you take her to Yeovilton! If you are there I'll pop over again and say hi!
Driver66 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Lovely build, lots of nostalgic flashbacks with this one, now what were the pilots called?
rx79guntank Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 That's a cool looking Angel intereceptor build and a great tribute to Gerry. Great pics too!
AnonymousDFB1 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Nice one. Of course as an Anderson fan I have one waiting in the stash
HOUSTON Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) FredT, your Angel is very Sweet and streamlined ..not seen one before so this is very nice. Exceptional looking build... Edited February 3, 2013 by HOUSTON
mekon Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Love it, Gerry would have been proud. Nice to see one of these finished so nicely.
Martian Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 That takes me back more years than I care to remember! You have made a nice job of that. Perhaps I shoud retrieve my kit from the stash, it might help me with my current bout of Modellers Block. Martin
Bigmick Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) Oh yes, nicely done, blast from the past, Destiny, Symphony, Harmony, Rhapsody and the other one, http://www.spectrum-headquarters.com/angel_interceptor.html Melody Edited February 3, 2013 by Bigmick
