arnobiz
Hehe the interesting part starts now Which scheme will you paint her in?
AnonymousDFB1
I was going to do 32-8086 but have changed my mind an I'm going to go for 72-8090
arnobiz
Be careful: 72-8090 is a DJ (double seater). Good looking scheme though.
AnonymousDFB1
Hmm thanks, looks like I need to go back to plan A of A+
arnobiz
Yeah, sorry I did not pick this up when you told us about the DXM decals. How are they by the way?
AnonymousDFB1
That's okay, glad you did before I got too far.. The decals look good but I'm reverting back to my original plan of doing 92-8912 in the green/tan/brown. The decals have the tail code and I have reference photos, it is going to be very a changeling.scheme Edited March 24, 2013 by Mish
AnonymousDFB1
Okay, I did a bit more And before anyone tells me, yes I have come a panel line too far forward on the top surface And I had to dry fit the engines to see what they looked like. I may get some more done tomorrow evening.

AnonymousDFB1
Thanks, I put down some Tamiya Semi Gloss Black X-18 and then misted Alclad Aluminium over it
arnobiz
Hum, I should really try Alclad but since my bench is in my bedroom I am a bit reluctant to use lacquers....
SaintsPhil
Looking very nice! Like the neat preshade, it would almost work as a final scheme as it is, especially for a Japanese Jet!
AnonymousDFB1
Well it's close, but this is what I'm aiming for. Owners copyright acknowledged

arnobiz
Good job! Now you have to move fast because liquid mask does not behave well after a few days
AnonymousDFB1
That's but that is all tape, not liquid mask
arnobiz
Good choice then Put it down to my ignorance, I had never seen blue masking tape.
AnonymousDFB1
It's similar to a tape call 'Jammy Dog' I get it from Mr Model I think, it comes in three different widths. Great for masking small intricate bits
Jabba
That is looking very giid there. Yep I really hate masking up things, but that stuff is very good, especially for going around corners.
mungo1974
Brave choice of scheme Mish!....looks like a masking nightmare.
