Bonhoff
So here we are - My contribution for this GB - A brace of Eduard Me262-B'sI'll build one up then return and do the second - hopefully making fewer mistakes on the second pass....Box ShotCockpit assembled and painted - insert for nosewheel and 2 .22" airgun pellets squashed in the vice for nose weight with lead trimmings slid down the side of the nosewheel insert. Hopefully that'll be enough to stop it being a tailsitter - Although where you'd put any more weight is a bit of a mystery if it does tailsit.Once again - As with my Revell F-15E in this scale - The kit just fell together Tail feathers added and lovingly primed with Citadel Codex Grey - Applied with a brush, it didn't seem worth the hassle of spraying such a small model. All other painting will be with Vallejo acrylics. Bonhoff
Well - In an effort to reward your interest - Here's where we're at now.... Wing uppers in Vallejo's take on RLM80, Fuselage in RLM76, mottling in RLM80 and 81, underside in black. All brush painted, I did experiment with trying to spray the mottling but the test was a bit inconsistent - Obviously I've not followed Eduard's diagrams slavishly, more of a representation. The paint blotches were then stippled with RLM76 dry sponged on top and then a filter of RLM76 to tone it down further. Then a coat of Pledge floor polish.
AndyC
The idea of airbrush mottling in 1/144 gives me palpitations! Good decision to hand paint!

racedees
NIce work on this one. I started one last month, but waiting in line for finishing the group builds I'm working on. Mosquito GB first and after that this GB. Good luck finishing these two.
Maxidad
That's looking really good. 1/144 could be the way to go, as I'm running out of shelf space for models!
Bonhoff
More progress - Priority this weekend was fencing work but I managed to get a couple of hours in - We're almost there PE aerials, undercarriage doors and drop tanks to go. It's been a good fun build. Can't wait for the next one. Wait! there's another one in the box

trickyrich
Thats amazing for such a small model, great job! the 1/144th GB will be my first attempt at this scale, seeing how this one has come out, I now can't wait. Really look forward to seeing the next one!

Bonhoff
First one completed a couple of weeks ago but I've only just got round to uploading pics..... Only problem I had in the end was with the drop tanks - just couldn't get them to stay in place while the glue dried.... Better get on with the other one now

trickyrich
Very nice job, so what's the second one going to look like?
Bonhoff
I think I'm going for one of the training schemes raither than another nachtjager. More splinter camouflage rather than mottle. Keeping the spare aerials for a half built Me110.....
Jasonb13
That's excellent looking, well done! It wasn't that big an aircraft so it must be fairly small in 1:144! Just a quick question, are the Swastika Decals some sort of 'compromise' so that the idea is there, but not the full symbol? I haven't seen those before. Thanks... J. Bonhoff
Don't think they're a compromise as there are normal Swastikas on the sheet too - Seems to be specific to this aircraft.
