Landrover WMIK in Mali?

On the BBC's news coverage from Mali today there was a brief shot of a desert camouflaged Landrover WIMK: does anyone know if these are operated by the French or one of the local forces?

There was a conversion article in MMI some months - maybe 18 or so - ago. It was based on the Revell Wolf but was quite extensive.

In it there are some photos of LR WMIK's being used by the French SF troops - it looks like to Panhards and a LR as a section, in some of the photos.

They are not UK-spec Land Rover WMIKs - if you look closely they are four-door variants, probably closer in configuration to the US Ranger SOV. It's likely that the top hamper is a variant of the Ricardo Engineering WMIK design though.

Wasn't aware the French used this variant - the 'Commandos Marine' according to the Mil-Photos discussion - good spot.
