Orion
Hi Britmodeller, This is my version, of the Severn Class Lifeboat 'Stornoway"at its base. The ship is moored to the jetty that is able to go up and down with the tide. Taking fresh water and electricity from the pontoon facility. Weather forecast is bright, sunny and windstill. Not much to do for the "Preiser"crew. The landing platform can take the RN/RAF Wessex or Sea King for joint ops. at sea. Wessex 1/72 is under construction. Iain Ogilvie
Absolutely magic! My son has this kit in his stash after seeing a Lifeboat last summer on holiday - trying to pluck up the courage to build it with him - will have to show him your photos Iain

Prenton
Dirk, That's a eye-catching piece of work - congrats! One question - what is the Preiser kit/collection for the figures you have used? Any idea of the kit/product number and where it can be purchased? Thanks. Philip
Rob P
Fantastic job there. I have this one in my stash, only thing putting me off is the lack of a crew.
triumphfan
That is very nice. The Wessex will really set it all off nicely. Steve.
Orion
Hi Philip,, The crew is from Preiser, ID 10535 "Ships Crew" http://www.micromacromundo.com/preiser-10353-ships-crew.asp You will be able to order this also in the UK. Hi Steve, Yes the HU5, in rescue colors, either from RN or RAF will make it more spectacular. Thanks for the positive response. Regards, Dirk, The Netherlands. heloman1
Hi Dirk, I've seen the kit around but never seen one completed. I think you've done a splendid job and love the setting, it sets the boat off very well. Congratulations. Colin
seadog
I have one hiding, part built on the 'shelf of Doom' . Yours is brilliant, the diorama really makes it.
Roof Rat
This is the best I've ever seen this kit built, congratulations on a first class job. RR
Rickpadwick1801
That is fantastic. Love the fact that it has lines connecting the boat to the dock and the crew lingering.....i might have to get myself a lifeboat and build a diorama..... phildagreek
Sweet! That is nice! Good effort, I find it hard to believe that is 1/72. One thing though, don't go spoiling that beauty by putting an RAF Wessex beside it, do it right. Go Navy. Good job though.

richellis
Very very nice build, captures the look of the Severn at rest I wish Airfix and the RNLI would get together and make some more lifeboats
Rickpadwick1801
Very very nice build, captures the look of the Severn at rest I wish Airfix and the RNLI would get together and make some more lifeboats I second this. I wish Airfix would make one of the new class of lifeboat, the Tamar, as one of them is local and I was born in the town it is based in.
