jenko
The ones on the ground with the "SF" code were taken at RAF Manston in Kent. Great find
Test Graham
Not just the Whirlwinds - an early Bedford QL tanker and a modified tractor with its own crane on the front. I thought at first (from the later photo) that it was a conversion to gas-powered, but from the fuller view the cylinder appears to be operating the crane arm. It'll need someone else to identify the tractor, but if it was a common mod it'll do for the one in the new Bomber Support Set. Paul J
Some fascinating video clips follow on from the Whirlwind section. Take a look at the russian clips of Yaks,Lavochkins, P-39 and P-63!!
HammerUK9
Gorgeous - I remember one of my very earliest models being a Whirlwind. Thanks Olivier!
