Flankerman
Apart from the J-16, that lineup of Flanker variants is exactly the same as those so far released by Trumpeter in 1/72 scale. If these HB 1/48 Flankers are scaled up from Trumpeter's 1/72 scale versions then that is no bad thing. Whilst not perfect, Trumpeter's 1/72 Flankers are reasonably accurate ......... adrianm2
Hobbyboss SU-27 Flanker 1/48 on my hands! NZPost Delivered it this morning Wednesday the 30th of December at 9:00am (GMT+13) For UK that is Tuesday the 29th of December at 8:00pm. Purchased through Hobby Link Japan on pre-order a couple of weeks ago. The Box: The Contents Next to the Academy kit: We know the Academy kit is a bit to short... When they are put together, the Hobbyboss kit looks quite a bit bigger but most importantly, it seems to capture that Flanker shape heaps better than the Academy kit... I hope you fellows know what I mean... The hump behind the cockpit is well pronounced and got the nose pointing down as a Flanker should... I`m very excited... by looking at this picture, it looks like a winner. The difference in length is 14mm without the nose cone and 16mm with the nose cone, both measured without the pitot. The nose, looks very close to the resin after market that I have on hand Some nice details around the cockpit, something Academy missed completely. Hope to get more pictures later in the day... Christer A
What about the wheel wells? Are they correctly aligned? The 1/72 version from Trumpeter suffered a bit there IIRC.

P Hi Petarvu: Sorry about the poor quality... phone pictures. You can see a nice capital omega shape in the canopy Once fitted I think looks good, don`t have any scale drawings to put it against but here are a couple of pictures Adrian

Hi Christer A Not sure what alignment you are talking about but I took a picture of the wheel wells for you. They look ok. An improvement over the Academy kit. What do you think? petarvu
They should't be canted inwards, but parallel to planes axis. Odd mistake.
DIO
Not absolutely convinced it is wrong. All that is hiding between the intakes and the upper parts of the fuseladge. It depands on what is visible.
exdraken
looks quite good to me! is it also bigger in the other dimensions?
