12 Squadron 90th Anniversary colours

Hi guys, was wondering if anyone here can help with this.

This jet is very likely to be my first big project, but I am finding, in my opinion conflicting colour information.

When I worked on the jet back in 2005, I am pretty sure it was one grey all over, with a different coloured nose.

The pictures I can find online seem to confirm this:

To me it looks like Dark Camouflage Grey all over, with a Dark Sea Grey (?) nose cone?

However, various guides, including the Model Alliance Decal Set, states the jet was Dark Camo Grey, with Dark Sea Grey Upper surfaces (although this picture looks all one shade to me too):

I am beginning to question my own memory, and eyes!  Anyone got an opinion, personal experience or information that can confirm one way or another?

I'm goin g to be slightly controversial and suggest it's overall Medium Sea Grey

This shot suggest/confirm that it doesn't have the DCG/DSG demarcation that other Tornados have along the back fuselage:

Andthis one suggests it is lighter than the DCG/DSG Tornado behind it:

Dave - many thanks for your comment, it prompted some further googlepower and i found this link:

This suggests that if it was DCG/DSG the a/c would have a black radome, and that if it is MSG all over it has a DSG radome.

Thinking back to the jets on the line -  the ones with black radomes were definitely darker shades of grey.

IN general that works, but check my second link in the last post - obviously DSG/DCG but with a DSG radome!

Aye, thats typical isn't it. I guess the black radome was the official scheme, but as we all know, parts are robbed, swapped etc, so I dare say radomes also got interchanged on rare occasions.

Nice one, many thanks to both Dave and Andy for this.

Wont be building this for a couple of months, as due to move house so would rather not start and risk damaging it.  But when I do, at least now I will have the right colour scheme!
