Simile Please! RB.57D, photo calibration ship

Recommended Posts

The latest one fresh of the production line. This is the High Planes RB.57D with home made mods. This D was used for calibrating satellite cameras. The patterns are to test the resolution of the lenses and the quality on the photographic film emulsion. You can see the build here.http://ipmscanberrasig.webs.com/apps/forums/topics/show/8436639-operation-pigs-ear-or-how-to-build-the-high-planes-rb-57d

Sensational! What an unusual subject. I love it. What were your home-made mods?

Thanks chaps! The mod's were home made decals, camera window on the canopy and the convex mirrors.

Another masterpiece John and a very unusual and rarely modelled variant to boot. Fanatastic finish and a very eye catching scheme.

Brilliant! That is one crazy paint job!

Where do you even find out about this stuff?!

Thanks guys!  Doug it's not easy, I know of only two published photos of her in the test scheme and I have two of her before she was 'pimped'.

That is seriously bad for the eyes, and rather psychedelic, but well done on building it!
