pigsty
I didn't think anyone could possibly like the Barracuda enough to have that many - not even its mother! The Special Hobby kit has come in for a bit of stick, but yours give me hope that mine will come out OK.
heloman1
Love 'em Tony, love 'em all, what's not to like about Fleet Air Arm subjects. OK, the Barracuda was no beauty but it sure did it's job. Thanks for sharing them Tony. Colin

heloman1
Hi Tony, a question if I may, '302' I take it is Oxford Blue or not? If so what was the reasoning behind this. Colin

tonyot
Hi Tony, a question if I may, '302' I take it is Oxford Blue or not? If so what was the reasoning behind this. Colin Hiya Colin, This Barracuda Mk.II, RK479, was part of the Ships Flight aboard HMS Vengeance during 1946/47 and later went to the French Air Force for Special Duties (a la WW2 Lysanders)still wearing the same overall Blue scheme! This a/c did feature in a Dutch Decals sheet but the roundel proportions were wrong, my model is based on photos of the original. All the best Tony O

AndyC
That 'Cuda was such a plug-ugly bird! Love the Chesapeake - I liked building that kit as a standard Vindicator
Ossian
Lovely work, makes the 'cuda look almost beautiful (but then it would lose its ability to fly by repelling the ground :lol)

Natter
I didn't think anyone could possibly like the Barracuda enough to have that many - not even its mother! How could anyone not love the Barracuda. Sooooo ugly they're great - but they're not often modelled as nicely as these.

tonyot
Superb stuff as ever Tony......but where's the Mark V Barra? :-) It is in the cellar! Magna 72nd scale kit finished in overall silver but not one of my best and quite old now, I have a replacement waiting in the wings to be built, when I get time! Glad you like the models and thanks to everybody else too, Cheers Tony O

steveinns
Thanks for posting the Barracuda's Tony, you've got to love or hate an aeroplane like that ! Has'nt piston powered aviation got the most charismatic lookers ?
