The F-15's AIC uses inputs including AOA and airspeed to determine the optimum position for the intake ramp and bypass doors. At lower airspeeds and therefore higher AOA the intake ramp is angled downwards. At higher speeds (lower AOA) the intake ramp is raised, the idea being that the intake ramp is parallel to the air flow. In an emergency the AIC can be overidden by the pilot with the ramps moving to the fully up position. Awesome looking scheme and a cracking model, nice work Dan.
