Alan P
This is the Heller 1/400 King George V finished as HMS Anson in 1942. It's taken me 4 years on and off to finish. I have cut corners with some of the accuracy, but as a prototype it'll do. It's due to go on a sea base when I get the plinth, so this is it roughly cut and finished. I finished it with a wood deck from Scaledecks.com and WEM enamels. I used the Raven & Roberts colours of AP507A, AP507C, B5 and B6 with MS2 decks and upper surfaces. Finished in a seascape: Just needs a few flags and she's done! Alan EDIT: new pictures added

Alan P
Thanks a lot. I wouldn't mind a crack at a Tamiya late-war KGV after researching these. One day perhaps!

Arkady72
I remember I did model of this battleship from paper about 25 years ago. Barrels were done from lollipop's sticks . Good job my friend. Thanks for sharing.
andrewa
Nice to see Anson instead of the usual two. A tricky camouflage well executed. A
Alan P
Thanks again! Now weathered, rigged and set in an Arctic seascape. New pictures added at the top of the thread Would have been a tough billet during the war - Anson spent her entire wartime career in Northern waters and never fired her guns in anger, unlike her more celebrated sisters. Thanks for looking, Al

Maginot
Smart looking warship model. Has the ladder come adrift on B turret? Otherwise, some poor gunner is in for a shocking last step.

Nice to know people are looking at the pics properly 😂 Sadly this model is now in very poor state, barely survived three house moves and needs a thorough renovation 😞
