Messeschmitt Bf-109 G-4 Trop kit 04721 ++++FINISHED++++

Thought id join in with one more i was going to do the mossy group build but had this kit laying about on my desk boxless so id better get it out of the way.
Here is the boxshot no sprue shot .

Hi everyone ive been cracking away at this and have now finished the airframe etc her are the pictures of the build so far.

Here is the cockpit built ready for painting.

Wings built and new gun barrels made from some small metal tubing from my local hobby shop

Bit of tamiya tape wrapped round one end and some superglue to smooth it and the barrel is done.

Hi Stu yes i am going for a RLM 78/79 Halfords/Humbrol spray paint colours look, i use Ford Bemuda light blue for the undersides etc as its the nearest match i can get and Humbrol sand for the top, here is one i did earlier until my kids got hold of it and this is all thats left.

Well got the blue sprayed last night and let that dry then masked it up for the sand colour.

Here she is all painted now for a gloss spray, i use Halford clear lacquer which leaves a very nice shiny surface.

I dont have a airbrush and use rattle cans and lots tape to paint my models so am a little limited on what i can paint, i hope you like so far.

Nice paint job!!! I only saw the hole for the antenna under the left wing. I think that that wasn't on a G4 but more on the later versions.

Hi all this is where i am at the mo decals on wash done then stick all the small bits on then spray it with purity spray which leaves a very nice finish.

Nice paintjob. I always liked the RLM79 with RLM65 scheme.
