cger
Hi all, here are some pics of my last completed build: It is a Ki-61 Tony from Hasegawa. I stayed away from the boxart scheme which is a plane from the famous Kobayashi and decided instead to depict the plane of his wingman, Kiyoshi Ando. Problems with decals resulted in the absence of the red lightning symbol , which I may eventually add later. Anyway here are some pictures of the build: just for fun I rebuild the cockpit walls and the seat with plastic card. Some wiring was added to the floor with copper wire: I added brake lines to the UC legs, and rebuild the radiator intake with thin Evergreen card: Here are the cockpit parts painted and weathered: the base color is a Gunze mix, the details are painted with Vallejo acrylics. I added two Jaguar figures, which are very finely cast: Here are some pics of the completed kit. The base coat is done with Tamiya TS30 spray can, decanted in a bottle and applied with the airbrush. All the markings are painted with masks, except for the tail symbol, which was cut from white decal sheet. The green mottles are done with Gunze paint, thinned with isopropyl alcohol. A build a small base with foam board. The concrete slabs are done with cardboard from a Kellog's box (!). The water puddles are done with Vallejo still water, which I used for the first time and found very realistic. I hope you will like it, best, Christian.

Spitfire31
As others have remarked, the figures almost steal the plane's thunder! And the plane is excellent in itself, so… Inspiring work! Kind regards, Joachim

Josip
My kind of modeling! Still I think that you should reposit the figures because they don't interact with each other. Josip Edited December 28, 2012 by Josip

cger
thanks to all for the kind comments ! I pondered a lot about how to place the two figures. I wanted that a viewer could see both of them clearly, which is not be possible if they face each other. So I imagined that they could both face the rising sun (!), so they interact in a discrete, oriental manner ! best, Christian.
