Max Headroom Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 A couple of achievable targets from me Trumpeter's MiG 3 (early) which is a repeat offender from an earlier KUTA and my modeller's block breaker (lol) Revell/Matchbox Fury I Trevor
wellzy Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Welcome Trevor ,look`s if you have some work to do Les
Max Headroom Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 (edited) Slight complication......... Elsewhere in this forum there is a thread on how you organise your stash. I'm distinctly 'freeform' and mine lives in the garage. I've lost the Fury. But I found the MiG 3!! As the model was basically complete, the first thing I did with the MiG was to give it a coat of Kleer with a wide flat brush in preparation for the transfers. Here is the sheet It looks nice and the markings were thin. They went on in short order No problems were encountered with application and they could be manoeuvered once placed on the model. Pressed down firmly with some tissue, no silvering is evident. Not reallly noticeable in the photos, the red looks rather vivid. Should they be that way? Never mind, I'll get it on its legs next. Thanks for looking. Trevor Edited January 21, 2013 by Max Headroom
Max Headroom Posted January 28, 2013 Author Posted January 28, 2013 Right I'm calling this one done! As I have said previoiusly, this was a doddle to put together. The only really fiddly parts were the wing root intakes, but they fettled well enough. I think the green may be too dark, but other than that I'm happy. Blimey, I've finished a model in 2013 with 11 months to spare!! THanks for looking. Trevor
