rmlbus66
I am hoping to acquire a revell routemaster london bus, as I want to build something different from the cars that I usually build. Are there any obstacles in building this kit, of such an iconic vehicle. I am hopefully getting the haynes routemaster annual for christmas, are there any other books or websites that you could recommend.
pte1643
No real obstacles, it fits together really quite nicely. The monotony of the seats and window frames is about the only downfall.
Glen T
The Haynes manual is very good, I have a few other books too which are handy for photographs of the bus and some technical info, history of the bus; Working with Routemasters compiled by Andrew Morgan, Capital Transport Routemaster Retrospective and Routemaster Requiem both by Mathew Wharmby & Geoff Rixon, Ian Allen Glen. rmlbus66
Now all that I need is a routemaster, so that I can start building such an iconic piece of transport.
rmlbus66
Could you please tell me what thickness of plasticard did you use for the seat backs.
pte1643
I just used some thick card. Can't recall exactly, but I "think" it was from the packaging in a new shirt (approx 1mm thick).

rmlbus66
I have decided to go with the AEC Engine, to add to the britishness of the routemaster build. I would like to know what part A8 is, as I want to add a decal to this part?,

rmlbus66
Had a change of plan and decided to go with the Scania engine, as it will give me a chance to add more decals on the engine, I am even thinking of taking off the centre section of windows to make an open top.
