PoppaMoomin
This is the Flying Sub for the original (4 window) Moebius Seaview kit. I was looking for a way to display it and after seeing some wonderful naval storm dioramas in FSM I decided to do it this way, not an original concept by any means but a fun thing to do. PoppaMoomin
More Flying Sub. The diorama base was again an ikea small shelf, coated in wall filler and sculpted with a table spoon. When dry the "sea" was primed, painted with acrylics and when totally dry the areas within the disruption were gradually filled with scenic water. The frothy bits are scenic water sculpted with a hair dryer then placd strategically around the piece of wire holding the sub to the base. There was a small amount of corruption around the hatchway due to the acrylic reacting to the cellulose tamiya yellow paint. Too late to do anything about it. PoppaMoomin
Great photo Chris, now if I had a five foot long piece of mdf I could do that to my Seaview!
