Mike Mcellaney
Just finished this one Tamiya 1/48 P-51D Mustang, 154th Fighter Squadron, Arkansas National Guard. 44-72952 was flown by Major H.H. Kirby, the unit's first post-war CO, in late 1946 (his war time tally is on the canopy. It carries the 154th FS insignia in lieu of the national insignia on the fuselage, and it carries the original NG as opposed to the latter ANG The aircraft is built almost OOB only adding the aerial and PE seat belts Painted with Alclad, Mr Hobby H52 olive drab for the anti glare panel

Mike Mcellaney
Nice build. Can I ask if these are the new Iliad decals of this subject? Yes these are the new decals from IIiad, they go down great, the only one that is a bit on the "thick" side is the 154th FG insignia, but I put this down to the color layers required to make up this decal But with a few applications of Micro Sol it snuggled down fine
