Spad Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Very nice indeed. Love the stand and am just amazed at the variation available by putting the rod at an angle - inspired and really shows off the beautiful lines and your work to a tee. As an aside, pic 5 really hits the spot for me - although 4 certainly has impact! thanks for sharing cheers Rick
FZ6 Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Looks fantastic. I particularly love your display method. It looks great.
PC2012 Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Looks lovely, especially like the exhaust - could you tell me how you did them?
rmcclure Posted June 5, 2013 Author Posted June 5, 2013 Looks lovely, especially like the exhaust - could you tell me how you did them? Thanks all for the kind comments. The stand has made this model my favourite desk ornament since I can change the attitude of the aeroplane almost endlessly and keep it interesting to look at. PC2012 - I drilled out the exhaust stubs, primed and sprayed the pieces with Alclad Duraluminium and then drybrushed with a ittle black and brick red before painting the drilled out stubs black. Pretty quick and easy really. Cheers all, Roger
