Mike
Nice work so far Peter - the Camera unit should actually be painted a "bone" colour - similar to Elfbein, rather than black/grey though. GWH also missed out the main spar that passes just in front of those MG ammo cans
tango98
Peter, Good job thus far but to add to what Mike posted, the frame supporting the camera was usually painted in the same colour as the camera. HTH Dave
Peter Marshall
More done on the 189 - finished up the interior. I've not done anything with the camera as I like it black :-) Then starting with the glazing and the first MG's. Peter

mekon
Lovely work, how are you finding the general fit of the parts?
Peter Marshall
Today's work - yet more glazing. Got all the glazing on now Then all the masks on - they are good but not great. The vinyl is maybe a little too thick, and a couple needed a little trimming with a sharp scalpel. Finally a quick blast of RLM66 over the top to seal the masks, and to give the right back colour for the frames. The fit's good so far, but not perfect. The instructions could be better too. Peter Marshall
Got a bit more done today - first the disaster. As you are probably aware it's been a bit cold - this may have caused this: Any of the masks over a curve have come off. Never mind, out with the tamiya tape. Then made a start on the engines - still a fair bit to do Peter
Peter Marshall
More work done on the 189 today. First I finished off the engines Then I managed to lose one of the parts for the landing gear, so queue an hour of slicing plastic card strip to make a replacement. Then made up the Landing gear Finally fitted the port wing / boom together - some Mr Surfacer on some of the joints, but nothing major Peter Edited December 22, 2012 by Peter Marshall
Peter Marshall
Got a bit more done today, though the 189 has been a bit of a disaster area today, with some of the glazing falling off, the camera coming loose, but things have been patched together again. Finally got the booms sorted out and everything glued together Peter Edited December 23, 2012 by Peter Marshall

tank152
Crikey had you been drinking before you put the balkenkreuz on the wing under sides! They're both well out. Edit, Just noticed the destructions show them to be positioned like that. I'm afraid they've got that wrong. They should be parallel to the fuselage and not to the wing leading edge. stringbag
Crikey had you been drinking before you put the balkenkreuz on the wing under sides! They're both well out. Unfortunately, thats how they are shown on the kit instructions. However, this is a cracking build none the less. Chris. Chris
