Redboost
Hi folks, this is the Zvezda "snap-fit" kit built with few Quickboost additions (exhaust, compressor inlet) and EagleCal decals for Hans von Hahn machine from Stab I./JG3, east front July 1941. -Neu-
Very Nice! What did you think of the kit and how does it compare to others?
Redboost
Thank you gents! Not been modelling the Messerschmitts for quite some time, but I suggest there are not many feasible options for Fridrich in 1/72 scale. Generally I think it is very acceptable and surprisingly good a for a snip-tite kit, I rescribed few missing lines on the wing and replaced the most simmplified parts. For about 1/4th of the Finemolds price this is excellent value, will be buying and modelling more! Cheers Libor
Tempestjohnny
Very nice. Has the yellow cowl been toned down or is that staining? John
Redboost
Yep, the cowling was oversprayed with camo paint to tone down the shining yellow.
Plasticbutcher
That's a wee stunner.
Matcham11
Looks really nice! And great job on the camo work!! Robin
cheeley
Wonderful result Libor, that could easily pass for 1.48th. Were the camo rings done freehand? I'd like to do that scheme myself one day as I like the way it looks, but I don't think I could pull it off! Chris
Redboost
I'm sure you can Chris, the rings are decals. Check the Eaglecal, big H website or elsewhere and you will see that miracle, it is brilliant stuff printed by Cartograf!
Ian
Another build from the 'top drawer'. Ian

Spitfire31
Beautiful build and that desert base in the last pic really sets it off. Incidentally, the pilot's family name is spelt von Hahn, which explains the personal motif – 'Hahn' meaning 'rooster' in German. FalkeEins
..super work - I thought when I finished mine it looked a bit toy-like but this is a finely executed piece of work!
Duncan B
I'm sure you can Chris, the rings are decals. Check the Eaglecal, big H website or elsewhere and you will see that miracle, it is brilliant stuff printed by Cartograf! That is interesting to know, I've had the von Hahn Decals and a Finemolds kit for them for some time but didn't fancy painting the rings. I'll have to have a look for them. Another stunning model Libor and I like the riveting. I have often wanted to try adding them but wondered if it would be too much for 1/72 but seeing this I think it looks good so will have to have a go. Natter
That Zvezda kit really is nice, though it needs a couple of tweaks to make it perfect. You have done much more than that, it is a little gem. May I ask, have you used an aftermarket canopy or did you cut the kit's canopy to open it? Dave
Redboost
Thanks! I cut to pieces the kit's canopy. Cheers Libor
