Basosz Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 First the SuperCat needs to be finished for the What If GB, then I'm gonna tackle the iSherman from a long forgotten Sherman GB My shelf of doom is rather empty this year 1
Romeo Alpha Yankee Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Got plenty to choose from, will consult the shelf of doom and report back. I might even finsh one for this year's KUTA, been a starter for a number of years....
Giorgio N Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Question: how far can the model be to apply ? I have a couple where the airframe is kinf of complete but still need paint and all the various bits (radiators, landing gear, propellers and so on): Would this be ok or has it progressed too much ?
wellzy Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 If its not finnish it good to go I would think ,Mate Les
Ian Shumsky Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Umm... It surely can't be a year since the last one of these can it? Where does my time go? I managed to clear a couple of items off my shelf during the last KUTA and have completed a few more since, but also started up one or two new builds... Will collate all the details tonight and post up a full list of what is in progress and crack on! Cheers, Ian
SaintsPhil Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I've got a few that got lost along the way this year, a pair of Eurofighter Typhoons for starters and maybe a build that didn't make it out of KUTAIV.....
Giorgio N Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 If its not finnish it good to go I would think ,Mate Les If this is the case, I'll try to finish here my airfix Spitfire I.. it's been going on for ages even if it's a small and simple kit. Still needs a few bits like radiators and landing gears and a paintjob.

Romeo Alpha Yankee Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 My list includes: 1/144 A330-200 conversion 1/144 KC-10 1/144 C-141 1/72 F-27 1/144 E-4B 9 1/72 Airfix BAe Hawks 1/72 Dash 8 2x 1/144 P-3C 1/144 MD-80 1/144 DC-9 ... and the list goes on Still have not decided what to finishe up. Some only need some paint, antennas and decals and they are done. I suppose I should start with them
Basosz Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 well if you production line the Hawks you can make a lot of room on the DoomShelf
AnonymousDFB1 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Don't really have anything to do in this GB, I do have the IDF Mirage that even stalled in last years KUTA but to do it justice I would need to repaint it and not sure I have the time for that and then there's my 1:72 TSR.2 but I'm not in the right frame of mind to to finish that one. See I've been mostly good this year...
wellzy Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Got three the P51 , B25 and a F 4B from last year the Mustang will be done and may be the B25 we will see , Les
Enzo the Magnificent Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 What happens if you re-start a project for the KUTA GB and still fail to finish it? I assume people laugh and point at you. Looking at my Shelf Of Shame, I really need to take part in this. I have half a dozen models that need about an hours work on each to complete. I also have two FW-190Ds which are painted and ready for decalling, although I might strip them down and repaint them.

TonyG Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Stirling, Valiant, TSR-2, Panther II tank (er, that was in last year's build too). Must really get moving on them, especially as I have some holiday that I need to take in December (the old 'use it or lose it').

Bonhoff Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 There's a number that I really ought to get sorted before I get on with the rest of the stash. So..... 1/700 USS Ticonderoga (CG-47) / USS Coronado (LCS-2) 1/100 Lightning F6 / A6-A Intruder and A7 Corsair II 1/35 - M901A1 Along with AMT's finest - a Cutaway Millenium Falcon (Suffered an attack of AMS) / Darth Vader's Tie Fighter (Warped beyond belief) and Trade Federation Droid with STAP (If anyone can tell me how to make the droid articulate enough to actually fit on the blooming STAP pedals please let me know!)
wellzy Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Sounds if you have plenty to do good luck with them Les
