jetboy
Hi,all.. first off,let me put you straight before someone spouts it,iv'e no connection to this maker of fine models,he seems to have kits of the more unusual, side of the space race,ie the perceived way the space race could have gone,me personally cant get over the vision of a couple of saturn c8,s circling the earth, what a photograph that would of been.It seems these days its the cottage modeller,s that are the only ones that can put out new output, though i do wish it was not the case,as i find plastic a lot easier to model, though not as much of a challenge as resin, but as a lot of martins kits are conversions,of standard plastic kits,i get the best of both worlds,as i can use the bits,of one kit for other ones, and these days of austerity,a good thing?...ENOUGH,of that, now ive started this, because i had a built airfix saturn 5 lying around, which id bought for spares a while back, heres a before pic,it looks rougher in the flesh, glue, everywhere, seams very gappy, and stages assembled upside down, first off working out what to remove from the kit,and what i can do to clean it up ? Removing the airfix interstage tank tops and 2nd stage engines and mountings next replace the 5 engines with 4,which means disrgarding the kit base completly and fitting the new resin engines and heat shield base. cheers Don
