Riggers
Well...the bikes have been put away, for now! I have already completed one of these years ago, so I thought "why not" do it again!! Not many before pics as I have a rubbish setup (as you can see) for photography. Think you'll get the jist of it anyhow......... ATB.......... Edited November 23, 2012 by Riggers
Riggers
Primed........... More sanding than I don't know what! The fit of the back padding is shocking! LOADS of sanding required........... Dials etc. masked & sprayed black.......... Finished...........! Suffice to say, to come from the quality & the finish of a Tamiya kit to this, this is a nightmare! So, so much sanding & filling, such bad fitting parts, instructions are rubbish! How to do the straps? So misleading....... Apart from that, not a bad kit. Justice with the weathering & the 'Dark Dirt' from Flory to get the pit 'lived in'! Be as so kind to let me know what you think............? ATB to all & have fun............
phildagreek
very neat job, I built one of these years and years and years ago, didn't look that good though.
AdriaN (MLT)
I built this kit too. Nice details. The instructions are rubbish! especially when it comes to painting! The seat belt's brown colour is s*it too! I built the f16 according to instructions and got a pretty boring out of scale cockpit. Also built the the F104 pit. this time round i painted it all according to research and ditched the instructions. for seat belts i ended up coloring them in myself according to photos. HammerUK9
Beautiful finish Riggers! At a risk of raining on the parade might I mention that the joystick 'pickle' button is actually red? *runs for cover* Tim
mekon
Really neat finish, I've had one in the stash for yonks and this gives me impetus to actually have a crack at it.
Flying Badger
Looks great. My only concern if I was building it is that I'd now not be able to get the idea out of my head to scratch build the rest of the aircraft around it! which at 1/12 scale might result in divorce proceedings! :-)
Riggers
Beautiful finish Riggers! At a risk of raining on the parade might I mention that the joystick 'pickle' button is actually red? *runs for cover* Tim Hi Tim, As an ex-Gunner, I havn't got a clue what the 'pickle' button is mate!! Lol Can you please point out said button & it will magically turn 'red'! Thanks for the comments though, really kind. ATB.............Riggers
HammerUK9
As an ex-Gunner, I havn't got a clue what the 'pickle' button is mate!! Lol Give a rock ape a paintbrush... There you go, left-hand button on the joystick - it's the one that drops the bombs! Tim
Riggers
Oh right! What colour is the bottom one then?? Lol Obviously this is the one that gets used alot as it's very faded! ATB & thanks again...........
HammerUK9
TBH I'd leave the other two alone - pictures seem inconclusive but generally favour white. I don't know how long this kit's been around, but (as you may have spotted) it represents the F-16A cockpit, rather than the far more commonplace and updated F-16C. Time for a re-issue? Glad to help and trying to fight the urge to get one myself Tim
Riggers
Here we go, just for proof of the 'pickle' button! Thanks again for the help, the button is now red! Pic to follow once base has dried somewhat! ATB..........
Riggers
Blimey.....how long before I completed it??? Lol As promised, bit more weathering & a dinky aerial map & the 'pickle' button attended too!! Enjoy & ATB.......
