Hi Michal - that's very promising - I see there were 2 versions of LCI (Large) the scond without the cyliindrical gun tubs was the one commonly seen in RN colours - Hope that Ben is planning to do that version as well.  Even greater need for appropriate RN crew figures!!!

This time not about ships.

I have found information new polish manufacturer ION model is producing three 1/350 figures sets in chilling poses: Kriegsmarine, Royal Navy and Japanese. About 70 figures in each set:

These pictures are taken from page: https://www.kfs-miniatures.com/1-350-chilling-on-deck-ion-model/

Text is only in polish, but you can see there some further photos (including real figures).

Price is about 15 pounds  (65 PLN)  per set +p&p.

is the revel HMS Dreadnought 1/350 a reboxing?

Don't quote me on it but I believe it's a reboxing of the Zvezda kit, likewise Revels 1/350 Gangut is a rebox of a Zvezda kit of a ship of the same class,

I've built the Zvezda Dreadnought, thought it was a pretty good kit but I'd likely scratch build the mast tops if I did it again,

Well blow me down, Mikromir have a number of releases coming thick and fast, Latest release a 1/144 USS Sturgeon SSN (yes 1/144!), recently released 1/35 Kaiten 10 and an upcoming release of a 1/72 Russian early submarine Krupp Forel, which will sit well with their Delfin.

All the best Chris

Ben from Black Cat Models has announced on Facebook forthcoming 1/350 USS Ward. It is very exciting news for me, I hope for more variants, includning british escorts and modifications of Battle of Atlantic. Finally we'll have modern, detailed fourstacker!

Hello,

Eighty years ago today, on 7 December 1941, USS Ward DD-139 entered History when she fired the first round of a US Navy ship in WWII and sank a Japanese midget submarine trying to enter Pearl Harbor Naval Base.

Black Cat Models is proud to announce the release in the first quarter of 2022 of a 1/350 model kit of this famous warship.

As usual, hull will be resin casted, and all parts finely 3D printed with a PE fret and decals sheet.

Yellow color on image indicates the resin hull.

Meow !

Ben

I saw this image posted on another forum:

It appears to suggest that the Trumpeter 1/700 HMS Belfast kits are finally becoming a reality.

I'm not sure how many of these announced subjects Flyhawk are aiming to release in 2022, but I'm just happy to see them on the radar at all. TBH, at the rate I build these days I'm not too fussed if they trickle on to the shelves over a period of years. Picks for me are the battleship HMS Vanguard and HMS Lion.

Some of these look great subjects, long term I've fancied a scratch build project of Vangaurd, I note they are all 1/700 do we know if they have given any impression of getting into the 1/350 game?

Had to look close, but it looks like PoW is in 1/350, so some hope yet!

IIRC, Flyhawk announced a Prince of Wales a while back as their first venture into 1/350, so I expect that is what we're seeing on the somewhat blurry image above.

I was getting excited until I saw how little was in 1/350, only another KGV, desperately short of a large number of RN ships within n that scale, even for WW2 heavies
