bootneck Posted October 1, 2015 Share Posted October 1, 2015 Does anyone know what differences there will be between the Trumpeter/Merit 1:350 JFK and Kittihawk releases; or are they the same kit with different decals? Googling has shown images that make it look as they are/will be late period F-18 Hornet versions. I would prefer at least one of them to be a pre-F-18 version of the 1960s & 70's. I can't understand why these kits all come out as later years ('90s-2000s) and not their golden era of '60s-'70s, 'nam era flying classic warbirds F-4s, RA-5s etc. Even Tamiya's older CVN-65 did the same. MikeR Posted December 1, 2015 Share Posted December 1, 2015 (edited) IBG Models is to release two 1/700 Hunt Type II escort destroyers: ORP Ślązak 1943: LINK and ORP Kujawiak 1942: LINK They do a lot of 1/35 and 1/72 vehicles and other equipment, but this is their first foray into ships. Considering how vigorous the modelling community is over there, I'm a little bit surprised that the Poles have taken this long to have a crack at the 1/700 plastic ship market. Mike. Personally I'm not that fussed, I'd rather they did Adm Scheer and Lutzow first in 1/700 but clearly Trumpeter must think there's a market for what they make and I don't recall them in 1/350 before. thanks Mike Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was planning on getting the Revell Graf Zepplin, but as I am planning on getting the Revell 350 Bismarck, I would much rather have the carrier in that scale as well.
