John Day Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Orange Hobby are soon to be releasing their Rowengarth Tugs in 1:350. 2
Chris Hewitt Posted November 16, 2012 Author Posted November 16, 2012 I was hoping this would happen ,we need somewhere to post anything that is coming out or released ,those tugs in 1/350 ,will be a great addition for harbour scenes, keep then coming.
John Day Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 I stumbled across them by accident while placing an order. Cherry at Orange Hobby has informed me that they are not quite ready yet but should be available in a week or two. As Chewitt has said, they would look nice in a harbour scene and add something a little different. A "Coming soon" section for maritime specific modelling would be good.
Chris Hewitt Posted November 17, 2012 Author Posted November 17, 2012 (edited) L'Arsenal are bring out two cruisers in 1/700(opps) Sheffield and Jamaica and Atlantic models a type 81Tribal class frigate in 1/350 sometime next year Edited November 17, 2012 by Chris Hewitt 1
Shar2 Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Guys, I've changed the thread title and have pinned it. So please use this thread for all new maritime related releases.
Shar2 Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Another ship that has just been released is the Hasegawa 1:350 HEIAN MARU submarine depot ship, which would be an interesting build, especially suitable for a diorama with several I class boats around it.

Shar2 Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 There should be some etch sets from WEM for some of those John.
Chris Hewitt Posted November 17, 2012 Author Posted November 17, 2012 Like the sound of HMS Unicorn are you getting any
John Day Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Photoetch from WEM is on top of my list of things to do !!! As for HMS Unicorn, I will certainly get a few in when they are ready. She raised my eyebrows when I saw her on the list. I think she will be quite an interesting ship!!
Chris Hewitt Posted November 18, 2012 Author Posted November 18, 2012 (edited) Found these tugs in both 1/700 and 1/350. http://www.shipmodels.info/mws_forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=120033 Edited November 18, 2012 by Chris Hewitt

Chris Hewitt Posted November 18, 2012 Author Posted November 18, 2012 Thanks ,the PE Looks superb in both scales
Harry@BFM Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Hi Chris, Thank you for your coments on Brians PE work. He does some of the best work I have seen. The 1/700 Ratlines he drew up for me are just fantastic. I am also sending Dave a review sample of the 1/350 SMS Vulkan with 5 sheets of PE. That should keep him busy for a while. Dave, I think I will stick in my 1/700 Ratlines in the box for you to review. 1
Harry@BFM Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 If all go as planned(and it never does) the British 'A' Type Steamer War Thistle / War Drake sould be ready by December. Painting by leuenant-commander Norman Wilkinson
alpine_modeller Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Nice, but completely the wrong scale. Still, looking forward to getting hold of Revells 1:350 LPD 21 USS New York. I just got this morning a e-mail shot from a German on-line shop. They have it in stock now. http://www.modellbau-universe.de/produkt;neuheit;RE~05118;16;1;5;1.htm?refcode=newsletter Looks really nice. A lot of fun to build and admire afterwards. 1
