bertie
Thought some would like to see a Hawker Demon flying over Sydney Harbour in 1934. My grandfather took this image and Sydney harbour is a different looking place today.
Col.
Very interesting photo, thanks for sharing it with us, certainly a scene that could never be replicated today.
Jon Kunac-Tabinor
Nice pic mate!! is it me or does the Demons wheel look like its sans its normal cover? And take a look at the tonal & lustre difference between the metal front fuselage and the sliver doped fabric. Cheers & thanks for posting this Jonners PS just noticed- you posted this in the armour section? maybe ask a mod to move it to the aircraft section.... Col.
...take a look at the tonal & lustre difference between the metal front fuselage and the sliver doped fabric. Was wondering about that. Could be a different colour? Yellow perhaps?
Test Graham
No, it is the fairly normal contrast between the highly polished metal and the paint on the fabric.
