Paul Bradley
January 2013 release, 1/48 Seafire XV , Special Hobby kit re-boxed ? Hopefully not the Hobbycraft...! The Lynx HAS.3 is good news - I'll wait for that rather than buy the German one now. I knew it was likely, but having it so soon is a good thing. The Gannet T.5 will be nice. The Kelly is likely the old Matchbox kit, I should think. Will kill the outrageous E-bay prices!

Paul A H
Great to see the Matchbox HMS Kelly back - been waiting for that one I wonder if the Mi-24 will be the Zvezda kit, given that Revell have re-boxed a number of their kits in recent years? Best of all though - that 1:72 Skipjack. It must be the Moebius kit and looks like quite an attractive price for what will be a huge kit!
Max Headroom
A few nice things there. Seafire XV. Even if its the Hobbycraft repopped, the only things wrong were the canopy (awful), stickies (they'll have their own), no wing fold scribed (big deal!) and the rocket box fairing on the cowling (milliput sorted that out). Hudson. I suppose it's a repop of the MPM kit but at a decent price? On a practical level masking tape in two widths. Trevor
Paul A H
We've just received a review sample of the masking tape, so look our for a review in the next week or so It looks very similar to the Tamiya tape. The Hudson must be the MPM kit, which is typical as I only bought the MPM boxing a few months ago! Hopefully they'll carry on releasing new MPM stuff, including the Blenheims ('cos I haven't got one of those yet).

Heraldcoupe
Seafire XV. The nose of Hobbycraft's Seafire XV is quite broad compared to the Airfix XVII, spinner diameter is at least a couple of mm bigger. I don't remember this aspect being criticised particularly when Airfix released theirs, Cheers, Bill.
davidelvy
The Revell Seafire XV will be a bit of a bagain if it is the Special Hobby kit. Less so if it is the old Hobby Craft one.
Chris Jephcott
Did anyone get any secrets out of Z-M as to what they are planning to release next?
JeffreyK
Well, as I said they're busy working on a 1:48 F-4 Phantom - don't know which variant/operator though. The person I asked said I could speak to the company's president Mr Shigeta about it, but he was busy talking to someone else and at some point I had to move on... Shar2
Did anyone get any secrets out of Z-M as to what they are planning to release next? After the 219, the Raiden is the next 1:32 kit to be released next spring.

Chris Jephcott
The Raiden is very exciting. It looked lovely on the stand, but one thing I hadn't anticipated was how excellent these kits actually are. I bought the Shinden and will be back next year for more... Incredible stuff. This is what is confusing me though. I don't believe that to be a BMW801 Engine though - and this is the clue on their website is: Which aircraft can be called a mother, a father, or a brother? The answer is (filling in the blanks!): ************* *_*** ****** - and it's in development at the moment too. The FW-190A/F will be lovely though too. Tango Fox
Heard from more than one source at Telford that Airfix's newest will be a 1:48th Javelin. Anybody else pick anything along those lines.

Tedfellows
Toyway had the box on show and said the kit will be available next month. Pocketbond had the whole F-4B kit in the box on display. I had a reet good look through it!
JeffreyK
Damn, I missed that...it's a bit difficult finding those exciting bits when the actual manufacturers don't have a booth at the show but are only represented through distributors or re-sellers. Test Graham
Large nine-cylinder poppet valve radial? Wright Cyclone?
Chris Jephcott
I think it's a Cyclone... probably a 1750? 9 cylinders, guessing American...
JeffreyK
Looks definitely like a Cyclone and based on that the aircraft is....well, shall I give it away or not? It is not a B-17 (unfortunately)...

PhoenixII
It sounds like a pretty poor show for new releases if this is all of the news! What about the cottage industry? A2Zee, Freightdog, Aeroclub etc? I suppose the major manufacturers are waiting for the Toy Fair to announce their new wares nowadays but the smaller companies used to use Telford as their major platform. Cheers, Tony O Hi Tony, to part answer your question. Aeroclub ARE re-popping the 48th 'Blunty' a few were on sale at the show for........................£25.00!!!
