Ian at Heritage has just sent me his latest release, the Wessex HC2….

And it looks goooood!

A true multimedia kit, predominantly resin, grey and clear, white metal and 3 etch sets

The clear resin and etch for intake grills, steps, tail grills and Northern Ireland fit armour plate

And decals for the later 72 Sqn green/dark green NI scheme..

I know Ian has these available for this weekends Nationals, not sure how much, but take some extra cash as you’ll be needing one of these…

I can’t make it to the Nats, so will be building this, keep watching for updates….

Looks good to me...I wonder if they also will release a HAR.2 or if we just have to modify the interior from scratch and take the xtradecal sheet...

Saw this at the weekend when Ian and I traded abuse at his stand. Looks rather nice :)

why alter when you can build a proper one straight from the box?

All I was doing was showing an alternative to your kit mentioned above and its only £35 for the Italeri kit and correction set as opposed to £60 for a full kit. People can make thier own choice.

Now that the Christmas tree and lights are up, the new carpet has been laid and I've finished all the other jobs Mrs OzHMk.2 has been thinking up for me, I have had a little time to get on with this...

Even though it has taken me nearly a month to post these pictures, it only took a short while to clean up and assemble the cabin and cockpit parts

Once they were done (and a 4 week break) they are painted, all this comes in the box, the only extra I have added is Mike Grant decals for the Instrument panel.

nice work OzH but :(

Is the fin twisted on there or is it just a camera angle thing such as plagues me when trying to photograph WIPs?

I do love the detail with this Wessex, sets new standards for me to aim at

Looking really good Oz,

I`m looking forward to seeing this one finished, are you doing it as a two toned green N. Ireland based 72 Sqn machine?

Cheers

A bit more work on some of the finer detail..

The tail is all but done, the etch is certainly a great addition here

Started on the nose mesh, a bit of a mess at the moment, went a bit overboard with the super glue!!

Brilliant job, Oz. Only just caught up with this. Saw the finished article and it really looks the biz. Fancy a XMG diorama?
