Dmitri
Hi everyone: As of yesterday I have Magna Firebrand TF.5 in 1/48 on my bench (I'll be posting WIP soon). I'm building the kit as a tribute to Phil "Bondo" Brandt who sadly passed away several days ago. Phil was known for building very difficult kits and esoteric subject, therefore I picked the most horrible kit I had in my stash... I was wondering if anyone could point me in a right direction (web-site, books, magazines) to obtain good references. I'm not totally empty handed. This is what I have presently: Warpaint monograph on Firebrand, From the Cockpit book and I just placed an order for Firebrand Pilots' Notes instruction manual. That's about it guys... What I'm looking for in particular: close-ups of landing gear assemblies, wheel bays. But I would greatly appreciate any input. I did not realize that there are no airframes in existence, restored or otherwise. Apparently none survived. I could not find any contemporary detail photographs.... Thanks forehand! D.
