russ c Posted November 4, 2012 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Hi all, Calling this one finished, Monograms 1/48 scale P-47D Bubble topdone as a pacific aircraft `Passionate Patsy` flown by Lt Ralph Barns, 310th FS/58th FGMade a few improvements on the old kit; repositioned gun barrels and replaced with brass tube,replaced bombs with drop tanks, redid the mount for the centre line tankdrilled out formation lights, landing lights and opened up ejector chutesand some bits of wire for the ignitionharness and brake pipesHope you enjoy 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tim Thanks Tim, It`s brush painted Humbrol Chrome 191 over a dark grey undercoat with odd panels painted with Humbrol 11, panel lines drawn in with a mechanical pencil and then various olive drab and dk grey dry brushing to try to simulate grime and oil stains. thanks for lookingThanks all for looking and commenting !
