Revell Tornado LGB & Dumb Bombs question.

Can anyone please clarify what needs to be done to bring the Paveway II's up to the standard carried by Typhoons?

Also, looking at the Dumb Bombs, they appear to have the retarded tail unit. Were these ever carried by Harriers in Afghanistan?

Thanks.

The 1,000lb "dumb" bomb wasn't carried that much on the Harrier GR7A/9A in the "sandpit" but both a 540lb bomb (air burst or ground burst versions) were carried on the No.1 and 9 pylons of aircraft carrying the CVR-7.

The 1,000lb bomb was on either the No.3 or 7 pylon

To make the PWII into Typhoon fit you need to make them EPWII (enhanced) :

http://images.google...r:20,s:20,i:195

1000LB retards weren't used in Afghan

The Typhoon can carry paveway II and advanced Paveway II.

The paveway II is the same bomb as used on Tornado.

Enhanced paveway II has GPS "bumps" on the top and bottom of the uidance betwen the fins and a wiring harness that runs front to back held onto the bomb body by two silver bands (Jubilee clips)/

The tail is the same
