Espus
Hi all! I just bought Slaters clear plastic sheet from hannants to vacuform a canopy. That did not work out.. I use a home made vacu unit and heat the plastic myself. Does anyone know which CLEAR plastic sheet will work with this? Espen
BritJet
Best type to use is called PET which is mainly used for fizzy drink bottles, if you only need a small amount then this may be a good (free) source of material. You can buy it is sheets from plastic suppliers and many of them will send out A4 size free samples. Steve
Espus
Thank you for that! I need a couple of a5 sized sheets. Any good links to suppliers?? I tried to google it but not much luck. It needs to be reasonably thin for a canopy.. Modelzone used to sell a4 sheets that were great but I think they've stopped selling them.. BritJet
I had some PET from http://stephen-webster.co.uk/ a few years ago, very helpful company. Steve

rayprit
Also a good supply of material can be obtained from plastic packaging as seen in Asda, Tescos, Halfords, Homebase, B&Q and other well known stores...............cost is zero and you possibly have some lying around the house..........I have just bought a soldering Iron encased in the stuff Raymond
