Mike Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 RB Models make the width markers. They also make bow mounted MGs for both British, American and German MGs. You can get them off eBay, or quite a number of companies sell 'em on that there internet.
Panzer Vor!!! Posted November 2, 2012 Author Posted November 2, 2012 thanks mike ive had some of his barrels first class service from him found the poles but not the mg covers any one any ideas?? ive defo seen them but cant think where?
Malcolm Shaw Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 To save some money, you could use a piece of rod and a ball of blue tac or putty to make the width markers, or a fishing weight. Malc.
Panzer Vor!!! Posted November 2, 2012 Author Posted November 2, 2012 im pretty crap at that kind of thing mate good idea though
Matt182 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Lionmarc makes very nice MG barrels. Search for item LM10029, its the tank variant of the MG34 and will suit most German tanks including the Tiger.
Panzer Vor!!! Posted November 2, 2012 Author Posted November 2, 2012 the mg HAS to have cover on it was a canvas shroud that covered the mg and ALL OF THE BALL MOUNTING totally obscured the front mg . really bugging me now cos i know ive seen them but where ???? Thanks for the answers guys sorted on the width poles but the mgs stumping me
Matt182 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Ah, sorry I mis read the question. The only one I know of is included in the atak resin zimmerit sets for the AFV club tiger late. Not sure where else you can fined one.
Panzer Vor!!! Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 no worries matt but its like the tune going round and round your head bugs the life out of you defo seen them or am i imaging them??
Malcolm Shaw Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 You could use tissue and dilute PVA glue to make your own cover. Once it is dry it can be painted as normal. I use this method to make all sorts of canvas bits from gun covers to full truck tilts.
