JohnT
PBB Pure B****y Brilliant Lovely work which you not only look at and admire but makes me anyway start and think about the people involved on both sides I saw a documentary on the battle a while back which suggested 2 factors for the British defeat were that the British firing line had infantry too far apart so could not give support between men if one fell leaving gaps that could be exploited Also after experiments it was thought that the Martini Henry rifle had a tendency to clog and then jam after rapid firing again causing gaps to appear in the firing line Great work and I hope you recover from the marathon effort
gruffy
The bugler, a mere boy, realizes that the firing line won't hold.A dramatic scene from the 'left flank' of this companies' fight when it became certain that there would be no escape..This is a general overview of the 'main diorama' Both sides were very brave! My ancestor fought the Zulus but had nothing but praise and high respect for them! I think Dads got a knoberi (club) somewhere at home!
