Silver Fox
here is my latest but not by any means greatest finished model. it is the old SMER/Merit Walrus. It is a simple kit for a simple chap like me. I rubbed off the rivets and most of the raised detail, and did some rescribing. The rigging is very very simplified and the engine is an old Aeroclub casting. I finished her as NZ151 from the Flying Boat Training Flight, RNZAF at Hobsonville in 1944, I kept weathering to a minimum though I have tried to represent the water line and some staining. Richard B.
looks good. I have been working on a Smer Walrus on and off for two years. It is a handsome aircraft and one of RJ Mitchel's to boot. Well done.
Tango Fox
An absolute joy to see aircraft like this built so well. Especially from a classic oldie kit. A gem.

Silver Fox
I just realised I left the masking on the rear gunners(?) position. Murdo, I picked this one up from a second habd dealer at South Shields Model show a few years ago when the Classic Airframes kit came out and everyone was getting rid of there SMERs. On Sunday at Southwell there were two Classic Airframes kits in the under table sales. How things go around.
Max Headroom
Good job. I have one of the SMER boxings. It's taking an age to get rid of the recessed panel lines and rivets but you seem to have persevered and won! Did you do any I terror work in the cockpit? Trevor I used photos to get an idea of what was needed but so much isn't visible as I was shutting the gun positions I just concentrated on the cockpit.
