FFVS J-22B, SAF, Marivox 1/72

That is a nice and simple kit of an attractive little fighter.

Pay attention to the fit of the engine and cowling though. Otherwise you'll end up with a J 22 with a nose up attitude!

Ask me how I know...

And you may want to change the title of your topic. SAAB wasn't involved in the J 22. It was designed and built by FFVS.

bizarre steering column, looking at the photos I think it would have been better to leave the steering column out and get better place for the dashboard :banghead:

no place for the dashboard, pushed backward to make place for the seat and steering column

no place for dashboard center column, left it out

Very nice J22!

It's a very attractive little plane isn't it?

What did you think of the kit?

American pilots often mistook the J22 for a Fw190. They may look somewhat similar in the air from some distance but on the ground there is one thing that really sets them apart.

The landing gear is MUCH wider on the German plane...

I'm told the J22 wasn't easy to land on grass fields.

Overall a nice kit, wish it would have been in 1/48 this is a very small model :)

The instructions and cockpit should have been better.

It was nice to have the PE ,especially for the engine cowlings.
