Rabbit Leader
Dear fellow Britmodellers, After many months of reading the many forums of Britmodeller, this is my first attempt at asking a modelling query. Hopefully someone out there may be able to point me in the right direction. Does anyone have a photo of the size and type of underwing serials that were worn by Meteor F.3's in the early post war period. Various references state that Meteor's wore 20 inch serials, however were these block type or rounded font?. My guess is that any underwing serials would be similar to the font used on the fuselage, however I do not have any good references to confirn / nor deny this. I've seen many photo's of F.4's however a decent underwing photo of a seralised F.3 eludes me. Any assistance to this question will greatly assist with my forecoming build of Tamiya's 1/48 kit. I know it's a early Welland engined kit, however there or other parts in the kit which are particular to later Derwent engined aircraft. Many thanks in advance.
