smuts
Hi guys, about to start AVF Clubs very good T34/85 with the full interior, being clear parts for the turret (not even weld seams) whats the best way to reproduce the cast texture on the turret, weld seams aren't a problem (I've done em before) just never a cast effect. Thanks Andy.
JackG
Apply liquid cement and before it it can dry, stipple it with an old synthetic brush. Best is the round type and cut the bristles off a bit so they have less play. You'll have to work in sections as the glue does dry quite fast. Once the whole process has hardened, you can go back and pass some sand paper over it to rid the sharp edges. regards, Jack
BWP
about to start AVF Clubs very good T34/85 with the full interior, being clear parts for the turret (not even weld seams) whats the best way to reproduce the cast texture on the turret, weld seams aren't a problem (I've done em before) just never a cast effect Are you intending for the turret to stay clear, or are you just going to paint it? If you want it clear, there's no way to give it a cast effect. It's a limitation of working with clear plastic, I guess. If you're going to paint it, then you can try the liquid cement technique as described above, or use Gunze "Mr Surfacer 500".
