theplasticsurgeon
The basic airframe is now completed to my satisfaction - hopefully some sun tomorrow for decent photos . Nose cone installed with refuelling probe. The camera fairings that normally adorn to air intakes are now under the fuselage just ahead of the undercarriage. One facing forwards for targeting, the other rearwards for recording results. As the viewfinder is in the rear cockpit the rearward one can also be used to check the undercarriage. The rest is the weapons fit Edited October 25, 2012 by theplasticsurgeon

theplasticsurgeon
Well I'm still under 10/10ths overcast - but nothing that will stop operations. As promised - here are the latest photos.
Col.
She certainly looks potent even in a 'clean' configuration.
theplasticsurgeon
I'm not going to be able to arm-up this model as quickly as I'd like. But to keep your whistles whetted - today she met the original TSR-2 prototype: Edited November 3, 2012 by theplasticsurgeon
Col.
Sorry to hear you're having delays with the armourment, I was half expecting this one to be amongst the first finishers but certainly not far from it as she stands, certainly makes for a very nice pair when seen together with your prototype model. Daniel
You're almost there, and you could call it finished at that if needed. Looks good Dan
theplasticsurgeon
No - I said I'd arm it, so I will. Also there's a pretty meaty arrestor from my spares box.

theplasticsurgeon
Progressing tonight. Weaponry is being applied and paint is drying. Expect some more photos soon.
theplasticsurgeon
So today I fitted the meaty field arrestor. and the teeth. Tip mounted Sidewinders, outerwing SNEBs, inner wing tanks from Jaguars, and the internal nuke - enough to be going on with. Here's a close-up of the nose probe. And what she looks like now I'll do better photos next time the sun comes out - for the gallery. In the meantime that's it for this project I'm off to build other models Edited December 8, 2012 by theplasticsurgeon
hythe
Interesting/cool - like what you did with the masked lines, in particular - looks like early 1980s spec?
