Plasticbutcher Posted October 6, 2012 Author Posted October 6, 2012 Missed this one Gerry, The yellow paintwork really brings this model to life... Brian. Thanks Brian, I agree, the yellow makes it.
gingerbob Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 (edited) Just to be contrary, I personally think the yellow a bit distracting (which is not a criticism of your choice of subject!) but the camo in between looks... perfect. If you didn't already say, what paints did you use for the camo colours? I have no idea whether they're an exact match to the target standards, but they sure look right sharing some aeroplane surface together! And you obviously did something right to help them look "authentic", too. p.s. Ah yes, there it is in the first line- Xtracrylics. I'll have to get me some of that! BrandX Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Blisterin' Barnacles, that is a JEWEL!! Wish I had one!
Plasticbutcher Posted October 10, 2012 Author Posted October 10, 2012 Cracking Job, Airfix at it's best I say. I agree, I think this was about their best kit maybe apart from their Bf109F in 1/48, however it was a bit more basic, was and still is very accurate in profile. Mind you they have upped their game in the past few years. Long may it last.
Paul J Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 That... I like! Its one I had plans for sometime but to 1/72nd. And 48th. Very nice indeed. 1
